1. How to do the Kylie Jenner lip challenge
You may remember the social media craze, whereby teenagers tried to replicate Kylie Jenner’s pout by inserting their mouths into a small glass and applying pressure. The results were plumper lips – and potential scarring and disfigurement. Fake larger lips the safe way with our tutorial - no glass necessary!

2. What are lip fillers?
Doctors inject collagen or hyaluronic acid (a natural substance found in the body) to increase the size of your lips. The process takes around 15 minutes and the effects normally last up to six months. Like all cosmetic procedures, fillers come with risks such as bruising, swelling and scarring.

3. How to remove gel nail polish
Buff your nails with a file to leave a coarse and sandy coat of polish. Then soak cotton pads in acetone and apply one to each nail. Follow by tightly wrapping each nail in a strip of silver foil so that your nails can absorb the polish remover. Leave for 30 minutes and then unwrap. You should be able to flake off the remaining polish by applying pressure with an orange stick. Don’t forget to apply a cuticle treatment afterwards.

4. How to remove acrylic nails at home
Use acetone to remove all polish, and then clip your acrylic nails back to where your natural nails begin. Buff nails to create a rough surface and then soak in a bowl of acetone for 15 minutes. Use a cotton pad to rub away the acrylic nails. Wash hands and condition nails, finishing with a moisturiser.

5. How to use beard balm
Simple: cleanse your beard. Then warm a coin-sized amount of product in the palms of your hands, before gently raking the balm through your beard. 6. How to do a French braid
a) Lift a section of hair at your hairline
b) Divide this hair into three parts and start your braid by crossing the right hand section over the middle one. The right section will now be in the middle. Do the same with the left hand section.
c) From just above your right ear, gather additional hair into the right hand section and cross it over the middle one. Do the same on the left hand side of your braid.  d) Continue this process until you’ve gathered all of the hair from above and below your ears. Work the remaining hair into a normal braid. Secure with a hair band.

7. How to pop a deep zit
Don’t – we’re serious. Instead dab a product containing salicylic acid onto the area. Trust us – a day of embarrassment is better than several months of scarring.

8. How to get glowing skin
Well-cleansed skin will be more radiant, so use a cleanser and toner every morning and evening. In addition, combat the build up of dead skin cells by exfoliating with a cleansing device or an AHA or BHA exfoliant. A highlighting product (see our strobing tutorial) will also give you a glow!

9. How to put braids in a bun
If you have box-braids, you’ll want to tie them into ponytail with a stretchy headband and then wrap the ponytail into a top knot, securing it to your head with grips. Otherwise, try out a braided ballerina bun or a stylish braided chignon.

10. How to get rid of hair static
Avoid hot tools, including hair dryers that can cause frizz. As static is caused by a lack of moisture, incorporate Argan oil into your hair care routine and a weekly nourishing mask.
